And we all seem sore...

Well, as the second week of the season comes to a close the words "I'm so sore" are ringing through our lobby as well as the studio rooms during warm up. While some dancers push their bodies to the limit others have decided to take a day off here and there. Remember those of you who train multiple hours (6,7,8 hrs a week) each week that the three week break does change your flexibility and endurance. Hydrate well, eat plenty, sleep good and remember that giving your body a rest will be only beneficial.

With alot of our classes full, please make sure that you have your friends or family call or email to check availability in all classes before showing up to a class unregistered.

I just have to say that the creativity in all our classes this term is unbelievable. With all the feedback that the December recital was "the best show yet"... no one can imagine whats coming June 2009.

Thanks to all the incredible staff and dancers for a great hard working first two weeks...oh yeah, and I am really sore. haha.

Ron Basada Now Teaching At The Vibe

Ron Basada comes to us from LA where he has spent many years professionally dancing, training and teaching with an emphasis on Hip Hop and Jazz. His dance resume includes Mariah Carey, Danity Kane, Nike and the list can go on. A full bio will be up on our website soon!

Ron will teaching our Adult Hip Hop III class on Wednesdays at 8pm, the Teen/Adult Jazz on Tuesdays at 5:00pm and will be co-teaching the Vibe Dance Project (audition only) class with Sarah.

Ron will be a regular faculty member at The Vibe and will be teaching all ages and levels in the Fall. He and his wife, Shannon of Danity Kane and MTV's Making the Band, recently moved to Bend. Last year Ron and Shannon came to The Vibe to teach a series of master classes over the Winter Break.

We are excited to have Ron part of The Vibe's amazing and talented faculty.

And Here We Go! Classes Started!

Our first day of the Jan-June session classes started yesterday. It was so great to feel the excitement and energy in the studio after the three week break. The day started with our beginning tap class and 5-6 yr hip hop classes. Our little hip hoppers were ready to dance but we have plenty of room in that class! Let us know if you have someone in mind. Our 5:00pm technique class is bursting at the seams with over twenty dancers. We will be starting a wait list to potentially split the class. Get on the wait list soon if you are interested. Teen Level IV started off with a creative contemporary combo that seemed to be a hit with the dancers as well as the Fresh Vibe Edition Crew starting a couture inspired circus dance. Project started of with a intensive combo leaving everyone exhausted while our advanced tappers were in the next room worked on getting their feet moving again.

Anyways...here's to another incredible season so keep your eye on this blog. I will be keeping you all informed of whats going on while you Dance At The Vibe!
